1. About these terms

Totally Polished is operated by Amelie Collins in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

These Terms & Conditions explain the conditions for purchasing and using our online courses, downloadable resources and mentoring services. Please read them alongside the relevant product description, checkout information or mentoring agreement before purchasing.

Any specific inclusions or commitments provided to you in writing before purchase form part of your agreement with us. These terms do not remove rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws.

2. Courses and downloadable resources

Our courses and resources are provided digitally. Each product description explains what is included.

Before purchasing, review the course or resource description to ensure it suits your needs and experience level. Contact us if you are unsure about its content or suitability.

You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and having a suitable device, internet connection and software for viewing the digital materials. Any specific technical requirements will be identified before purchase.

Access or delivery instructions are provided through the purchase process or associated confirmation message. If you cannot access a purchased product, contact admin@totallypolished.ca so we can investigate and help resolve the issue.

3. Payments and pricing

Prices are stated in Canadian dollars unless expressly indicated otherwise. Applicable taxes and the total amount payable will be identified before you complete your purchase.

Payment must be completed through the available checkout method or an invoice issued by Totally Polished.

Prices may change for future purchases. A later price change does not change the agreed price of a completed purchase.

Only the products, resources and services described as included at the time of purchase are included in that purchase.

4. Refund policy for courses and downloads

Purchases of online courses and downloadable resources are final and non-refundable, except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law.

We do not offer change-of-mind refunds, including where you decide not to begin or complete a course, do not use a resource, or find that you no longer have time to study.

Please review the product information and ask any questions before purchasing.

If a product is not delivered, cannot be accessed, is materially different from its description or presents another issue, contact admin@totallypolished.ca. We will investigate and provide any remedy required by law.

This policy does not exclude or restrict statutory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights.

5. Lifetime course access

Courses sold with lifetime access include unlimited access for the lifetime of the original purchaser, with no scheduled expiry date or recurring access fee.

You may work through the purchased course at your own pace and revisit its included materials.

Lifetime access applies to the course and resources included with your purchase. It does not automatically include separately sold future courses, new products, mentoring or other services unless expressly stated.

Lifetime course access does not mean unlimited individual mentoring or personal support. Any support included with a course is described in its product information.

Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance or technical reasons. We will take reasonable steps to restore access when an interruption occurs.

A change in hosting platform does not, by itself, end our lifetime-access commitment. Nothing in these terms gives us the right to withdraw promised access simply because we decide to stop selling the course.

6. Permitted use and copyright

Course videos, lessons, written materials, graphics and downloadable resources are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws. Purchasing access does not transfer ownership of these materials.

Your purchase permits you to:

Access and study the course for your own learning.
Download or print materials made available for that purpose.
Use checklists, scripts, forms and business templates within your own nail business where that is their intended purpose.
Adapt editable templates for your own business where the product permits customization.

Unless we give written permission, you may not:

Share account credentials or give another person access to your course.
Resell, redistribute, upload or publish course materials or downloadable files.
Repackage our materials as your own products or teaching resources.
Use our materials to deliver your own paid or free training.
Record or reproduce lessons beyond any download options expressly provided.

A template intended for use with your own clients may be used for that purpose. This does not permit distributing the underlying resource as a template for other businesses.

7. Educational scope and limitations

Our courses, resources and mentoring provide education within the scope described for each offering.

Before You Begin: Foundations of Professional Gel Nails is a theory-based course. It is not a substitute for hands-on practical training, professional certification or any qualifications required where you work.

Completion does not, by itself, establish that you are qualified, licensed or insured to perform nail services.

You are responsible for understanding and following the requirements that apply to your location and services, including public health requirements, insurance conditions and manufacturers’ product instructions.

Educational materials are not individualized medical, legal, tax or accounting advice. Seek an appropriately qualified professional where needed.

We do not guarantee particular income, client numbers, business growth or technical results. Outcomes depend on factors including your prior experience, practical training, application and circumstances.

8. Mentoring bookings, payments and rescheduling

Mentoring begins with an inquiry through our mentoring contact form. Sending an inquiry does not confirm a booking.

Before payment, we will agree in writing on the mentoring service, fee, session length, format and proposed booking arrangements.

Payment is made by invoice and must be received before the booking is confirmed. Your session is confirmed when Totally Polished provides written confirmation.

Mentoring payments are non-refundable if you cancel or choose not to attend, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Rescheduling may be permitted at Amelie’s discretion, taking account of availability and the circumstances. Contact admin@totallypolished.ca as soon as you know you need a change. A requested change is not confirmed until you receive written approval.

If Totally Polished needs to cancel a session, we will offer an alternative appointment. If we cannot agree on a suitable replacement, we will refund the amount paid for the undelivered session.

9. Website and account use

Please provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential.

Do not use our website or services for unlawful purposes, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access or distribute purchased content without permission.

If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us promptly so we can help secure it.

Information about how we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Nail appointments are also subject to the separate Salon Policies presented before booking.

10. Responsibility and consumer rights

You are responsible for how you apply educational information in your own practice and business. Follow appropriate training, product instructions and applicable requirements when providing services.

Totally Polished remains responsible for meeting its contractual commitments and obligations under applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits a remedy where doing so would be unlawful. In particular, our refund policy does not override mandatory consumer protections.

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and applicable Canadian federal laws, without removing any mandatory protections available to you under other applicable laws.

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future purchases and website use. The date at the top identifies the latest version.

Changes will not retroactively reduce the access, inclusions or other rights agreed to for an existing purchase without your agreement or a lawful basis.

Keep a copy of the terms and purchase information provided when you buy.
